race|result 11 Settings

Predictive tracking with Track Boxes, Decoders (active & passive) and with Loop Boxes. With little experience, you are able to manage your own predictive live tracking.

Before You Start Predictive Tracking

Read the information r|r provides in the Knowledge Base:

We strongly recommend to gain experiences at several small tests to learn how to use the predictive system and the hardware. We support your tracking tests, just get in touch. For your small tests we recommend working at least with:

  • four Track Boxes

  • five active transponders

  • the Management Box

  • one Decoder

  • two Loop Boxes (if you like to work with Loop Boxes)

In race|result 11

  • Create your event with required contests in your r|r 11 account.

  • Set Simple API to forward participant data from r|r 11 to Racemap.

Tracking Channel

Active transponders have to use the same tracking channel as TrackBoxes. Set up with management box, configuration at r|r 11: default channel 1.

Track Box Settings

Set up your TrackBoxes for live tracking in Racemap: Timing » Systems » TrackBox Configuration Rules

Set up Track Boxes: Timing » Systems » TrackBox Configuration Rules

New Rule Set:

  • Channel ID: using TrackBoxes for live tracking requires a different channel than for timing system

  • Tracking Partner: “Racemap”

Detections received from LoopBoxes are forwarded as TrackPing with the device ID of the connected decoder. That means, Racemap has no information, if the detection is received from a LoopBox.

  • Store Mode: detections are forwarded with delay and won't be used for live visualization, but for the replay of the contest

  • Repeat Mode: detections are forwarded directly and will be used for live visualization

detections received from a LoopBox will be forwarded through the exporters with the coordinates of the

  • decoder OR

  • specific timing point the automatic timing point assignment rules these detections to (based on Loop and Channel ID), if Loop and Channel ID have been manually defined under Main Window » Timing Points

Set coordinates for your LoopBoxes, independent from location of connected decoder

Forward data from decoders, Loop Boxes and USB timing boxes

To send data from passive or active systems other than the trackbox, settings under Exporter + Tracking in the Timing tab of r|r 11 are required. To prevent errors we recommend to select all timing points. In addition, the tracking partner "Racemap" must be selected and the race|result customer ID entered.

To start the data transfer please click the green playbutton at Exporters + Tracking (Timing Tab at Systems).

During the Event

Activate your active transponders for live tracking with your Management Box before start of the contest.
